Publication – An autoML network traffic analyzer for cyber threat detection

One more publication of the research results of the research project “Cyber-pi – Intelligent cyberthreat detection and privacy protection system” was produced, this time in the “International Journal of Information Security”, Springer-Verlag 2023, titled “An autoML network traffic analyzer for cyber threat detection”.

This paper focused on the integration of a custom Network analyzer into the Cyber-pi architecture. The proposed approach is based on the Lambda (λ) architecture, which augments the capabilities of processing large volumes of network data by combining batch and streaming processing. The proposed solution innovates by using an automated machine learning (AutoML) algorithm that selects the optimal method for identifying attacks each time. This approach achieves early detection, effective response to cyber-attacks and protection of personal data from unauthorized disclosure.

The publication was accepted on 02/05/2023 and published on 21/05/2023.
